Abbey Leisure Centre was built in 1992 providing high class facilities, including state-of-the-art fitness suite, 25 metre pool with flume, indoor sports hall, outdoor football pitches, sauna and steam rooms, creche, cafeteria  and more!

The centre has gone through a number of changes in this time, including expansion of the fitness suite facility due the centres growing membership base. The centre is commended by ‘Quest’ the UK benchmarking scheme for sport and leisure

Abbey Leisure Centre also houses the Selby District Sports Development team who are committed to encouraging and developing sport for all age groups throughout the Selby District.

Our second site Tadcaster Leisure Centre is also a ‘Quest’ accredited centre providing a high quality fitness suite and a superb range of fitness classes. Click on the link at the top of the page for full information on facilities and activities at Tadcaster.

From September 2009 Selby Leisure Services  will be managed by Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust in partnership with Selby District Council. The exciting new partnership will seek to further develop high class sports and leisure facilities for the whole community.
