In September 2009 the management of Selby Leisure was transferred to 'Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust' in a unique partnership with Selby District Council. The exciting new partnership will seek to further develop high class sports and leisure facilities for the whole community.

In September 2010 our brand new 1.1. million pound Profiles Health and Fitness Centre was opened, transforming the entire first floor into a state-of-the-art gym complete with fitness studio and relaxation facilities.

 

In 2011 Paul Hirst the new General Manager for Selby was appointed to further develop the facilities for Selby....

 

"I am delighted to have been given the opportunity as the new General Manager of Selby Leisure Services.  My background has predominantly been in leisure, working in the industry for the past 16 years in the private sector.  My career started in the armed forces where I was employed as a physical training instructor for 7 years.

I am a keen sportsman and I regularly exercise and enjoy working out in the gym.  I also represent Great Britain in Judo.

I am really committed to making our Leisure Centre's a great place for my team to work and for members and guests to visit.  I very much look forward to meeting you all and ensuring that we are meeting all of your leisure needs.

My team and I are dedicated to providing you with a wide range of fantastic activities and sharing our wealth of expertise enabling you to achieve great results. I am here to ensure that you receive a great experience at the centre and that you make the very best of your membership."
